Product Description
Power: 8 VA, 0.33 A max. Max: 7 VA, 0.33 A max. Inputs: (4) Dry contact or thermistor, two of which can be configured as 0-5 V. If used, the RSZ+ requires 2 inputs. Custom translation tables allow the use of nonstandard sensors.. Outputs: (5) Digital output dry contacts, rated 1 Amp @ 24 VAC.. Communication: EIA-485 port (optically isolated) for CMnet communication using a baud rate of 9600 or 38.4k bps.. There are three Z-Line modules. They are the Z-Line Rev 8, the Z-Line Rev 4 (Exec. 4) and the Z-Line Rev 4 (Exec. 3.6). This document details Z-Line Rev 8. All three Z-Line modules look very similar. Therefore you should familiarize yourself with the physical differences in the Z-Line modules. The drawing in this document depicts the Rev 8 Z-Line module. As indicated by the Z-Line drawing in this document, the Rev 8 module contains a cutout through which the EEPROM is visible (the Rev 4 does not). Additionally, the Digital Output's LEDs are located on the board. On the Rev 4 modules, the LEDs are raised and displayed through the metal. All Z-Lines are part of the I/O Hardware family of control modules designed specifically for zone control. A single board provides the power circuitry, the microprocessor, and nonvolatile memory. The module's name indicates the number of outputs (first digit) and inputs (second digit) which it provides. The Z-Line modules are designed to be mounted directly on the equipment being controlled, such as heat pumps, VAV boxes, unit ventilators, and fan coil units. Each Z-Line module is capable of stand-alone operation. All modules communicate with equal authority on a "peerto-peer" EIA-485 Control Module Network (CMnet). For troubleshooting purposes, the network can be locally accessed through any Z-Line module using a direct network connection. Each Z-Line module is associated with a single Z-Line Graphic Function Block (GFB). Sample Z-Line GFBs are available from the BBS which can be used as a starting point for customizing the GFBs for your specific application. However, before customized FBs can be downloaded, they must be made in Eikon according to the Zone GFBs standards. The small percentage of Zone GFBs which can not be made in Eikon can be reviewed and encrypted by Dealer Services. NOTE: To operate this module based on a schedule, it must be networked with a Gateway module.. Automated Logic. Automated Logic Corporation. Z540V.
