Product Description
. . . . . The NQ-6100 Staging Network is an auxiliary device used with Cybertronic controllers to provide two-position control from a proportional control signal. The NQ-6100 can be used to sequence stages on a reciprocating compressor or on an electric heating unit, or in similar applications where twoposition control is desired from a variable 1 to 18 volt DC input control signal. Single and two-stage "master" units and a two-stage "slave" unit are available. The "masters" have an internal 21 volt DC supply, derived from the 24 volt AC input. The "slave" does not have the internal 21 volt DC supply; it requires the 21 volt DC output of the master or other power supply for operation. Relays on all units are SPDT and have individually adjustable pull-in and dropout points. Each relay can be adjusted to pull in at any point between 2 and 18 volts DC and drop out at any point between 1 and 17 volts DC below the pull-in value. The adjustment labeled "PULL IN" determines the point at which the relay closes, and the adjustment labeled "DIFFERENTIAL" determines the dropout point. On twostage units, each relay can be controlled by a separate input signal (either relay can be controlled by either signal), or both relays can be controlled by the same input signal. One proportional control signal can control up to five NQ-6100 stages. Or, if desired, proportional outputs of different controllers, or both outputs from a single controller, can be connected to separate stages on a two-stage unit. A master unit can furnish supply voltage for up to three slaves. In applications where less than three slaves are used, the master can furnish supply voltage to other Cybertronic devices. The supply output has a 120 mA maximum rating.. Johnson Controls. Johnson Controls. NQ-6100-1.
